Full Story: |

What is the next Big Gift Food Trend for our Industry? According to Tom Catanese, a Gift Food and Confection
and Sale and Marketing Expert, the next Profit Making trend is Licensed Sports Gift Food Creations. His research has uncovered some very surprising facts! The Sporting Industries today creates over 500 Billion dollars in world wide commerce. Of that amount 50 Billion dollars comes from the Licensed Sports Industry. On Jan. 9th the Phila. Nat. Candy, Gift & Gourmet Show will celebrate its 113th Show. This show is America’s oldest Chocolate and Confection Trade Show. One of the Seminar presenters will be Tom Catanese. He will discuss how our Industry can get our piece of that 50 Billion Dollars pie. |
|
|
The Show committee has invited Tom Catanese, a member of the Confection and Fancy Food
Gift Industry since 1969. He is one of the leaders in the industry
and has presented seven prior Seminars for the Candy Show
and five Seminars for the International Fancy Food Shows at the
Javits. This presentation will be different because it is a Symposium. He has presented 86 National Gift Food and Confection Creation Seminars since 1977. Maureen Walter said that the Committee looked at his credentials of the last 35 years and felt that he was the Expert they wanted for this kick off Show in Atlantic City. |
|
|
Catanese has been searching the Licensing Industry since 2003 to find the Manufacturer’s who make these products for the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, PGA,
and NASCAR. This presentation is new and has never been presented
before. He states that the America Male has been having a Love
Affair with Sport since the turn of the 1900’s It is just in the last 15 years that Licensed products has taken a huge jump in Sales and Profits because of TV
and Mass Print Media and the Professional Gaming Industries. |

These are the Most Important Three Key
Elements that are part of the Symposium. |
| |
| First, this presentation holds many New Concepts that have not been seen before. The Phila. Candy Show Committee wanted to open the Show with New and Dynamic concepts that will put profits in the pockets of the retailers who attend the Show at the New Atlantic City Convention Center
Catanese's Sales and Marketing Expertise in the Gift Basket,
Giftware, and Gift Food brings over 40 years of experience to the
Symposium. That will translate in Profits for our Show Attendees.. |
|
| Second, the attendees will receive a master list of the Sports Team Logo and Licensed Product Manufacturers who are the source for all these products. This list was never available until it was complied by Mr. Catanese. It will be one of the Major Trade Secrets they will receive in the hand out. The reason why this concept has not worked before is simple he says. No one knew where these sources were. You can not buy at Retail and make money that way. These Manufacturer’s produce Team Logo Mugs, Beer and Wine Glasses, Memo Pads, Mouse Pads, License Plates, Pens, Pencils, Office and Desk Accessories, Pennants, Flags, Decals, Calendar’s and over 500 other different Team products. |
|
Third, another key element will be the fact that Catanese will design and create 25 different Sports Products Gifts using Fancy Foods and Confections and Giftware’s. The price points will be from $15. to $150. He will create Gifts for each Sports Industry so that the attendees will be able to see his construction and designs.
Retailers are invited to bring their Best Gift Creation to the
Symposium to be displayed on table
around the room.
1.
The committee will not judge your creation.
2.
You take your
Gift home with you, they do not
keep
your Gift.
3. Attendees who bring Gifts for Display will be part of a Gift Certificate Raffle for free prizes.
4.
If you
bring your best
design and 50 other
designers bring their best design you will go home with over 75 New
and Creative Gift Creations ideas. This element is what makes it a
Symposium. |
|
| Attendee’s are invited to bring an easy to use camera’s so they can capture all the Gifts on display tables around the room. In this way they can share the photos and the concepts with employees who did not attend. |
|
| And finally this concept is the difference between a Seminar and a Symposium. A Symposium is a sharing of Idea’s, Concepts, Technology and Profit Making Methods. |
|
| Catanese did this at his London and Paris Symposiums and it was the highlight of each presentation. He invited all the attendees to bring a Gift Creation to the Symposium to be displayed. |
|
| The Gifts were not judged but they were there so that all could take photos of their competitions Gifts. Everyone left the presentation with over 50 new ideas and designs. He asked the attendees to surrender
one good trade secret of their design but promised them 49 new designs in return. |
| |
Cosmic advice surprise
Another element that has enjoyed great energy is the Cosmic Advice Envelope Surprise! You will be asked to offer advice on three subjects and to offer one of your trade secrets. |
No names please just advice!
Write down on a simple piece of paper. Advice on Business, Life, and Love and one Trade Secret. It’s very simple, what advice would you give to a friend on these four topics. The envelopes are then given to someone else and you get their envelope. Again you share in more ideas! |
|
Special Note, Retailers who bring a Gift to the Symposium will be part of a Special Raffle drawing for Gift Certificates and Door Prizes.
|
|
| Your Gift is not judged and you take your Gift home with you. |
|
| If you are willing
to share one good idea, then you will receive 75 other good ideas in return. |
